1.A psalm of life is philosophical poem by Longfellow.
2. According to the poet life is not an empty dream.
3. It is real and earnest.
4. Human soul is deathless.
5. Pain and pleasure are not the end of life.
6. Life on earth is a temporary camp made by the soldiers.
7. We should not live here like cattle.
8. Like a hero, we should stand up and fight.
9. When we die we should leave our foot prints.
10. It will help a man who is sad and secluded.
11. It will fill him with hope and cheers.

2. The poetess says that men cannot rob the rights cherished by the women.
3. Women have a clear picture of their mission.
4. They want to live quietly inside the four walls.
5. They don' want to waste their time.
6. Their mission is to gather the happiness and decorate the home with it.
7. Women are compared to the ordinary plants on the road side.
8. The plants save the rain water and spread the fragrance through their flowers.
9. Like those plants women too fill the home with happiness.
10. When they die no one knows about them. Only their family members know their value.

8. He felt honoured.
9. The education compelled him to kill the snake.
10. At last he threw a log at the snake.
11. The snake disappeared.
12. He felt sorry for his mean act.
