cliche and its meaning
1. sailing in the same boat - same feeling or thought.
2. fell on deaf ears - did not listen to the advice
3. knew no bounds - endless
4. last but not least - finally
5. another feather in the cap - another achievement
6. a long rope - good advice
7. takes the back seat - reluctant to do
8. hand in glove - close association
9. flying colours - with great success
10. to put the cart before the horse - reverse the order or procedure
11. to add insult to injury - make bad situation worse
12. no smoke without fire - there is always reason for the rumor
13. every Tom, Dick and Harry - all the people without any discrimination
